The Story Behind Our Crest

To the passing observer, our emblem is simply a tribute to blue-water cruising. But to us, it is a visual journal of how an impossible dream became a shared reality.

When Dustin first took Christal out on his sailboat, the wind was howling, the hull was heeling over, and the rails were dipping right into the water. It was her first time ever on a sailboat. It should have scared her off-but instead, she leaned into the adventure. That rough, windy day on the waters of Lake Hefner was the moment Dustin's lifelong dream of global exploration began to transform into a shared vision for their future.

We created the Sailing To-Get-Her crest to tell the story of how a sailor and a mermaid were brought together by the water and call of the sea, guided by purpose, and connected by a willingness to navigate the unknown together.

The Heart of the Crest: The Pearl in the Clamshell Nestled at the center of the design is our most important symbol: a single, flawless pearl. A pearl isn't mined from the earth; it is born of the ocean, formed quietly over time through patience and resilience. In our journey, the pearl represents finding something rare and invaluable: a deeply meaningful relationship. With Neptune presenting the pearl and the mermaid reaching for it, it symbolizes a gift freely offered and freely accepted—the choice to build a life together.

Neptune (The Sea King): Representing strength, experience, and safe passage, Neptune is the masculine energy of our story. He stands for the captain's willingness to lead through uncertainty, protecting the vessel and those aboard.

The Mermaid: The silhouette of the mermaid represents the feminine energy—beauty, freedom, and the irresistible call of adventure. Rather than a figure to be rescued, she is an equal partner in the journey, stepping off the shore to embrace a lifestyle she never knew was possible.

The Sailboat & Waves: Positioned between them is the sailboat itself, riding energetic, lively waves. It represents the actual lifestyle of blue-water exploration, reminding us that the journey itself is the destination, and that uncertainty is something to be embraced, not feared.

The Compass Rose & Trident: The trident represents taking definitive control of your own life's course, while the compass rose keeps us true. They ensure that no matter how much we wander, the right course will always lead us back to where we are meant to be.

The Sunset Horizon: The glowing horizon behind the sails brings the promise of tomorrow. It is a symbol of optimism and hope, a reminder that when you are on the water, the best part of the journey is always just ahead.

The Anchor & Nautilus Shell: The expanding spiral of the nautilus shell represents continuous personal growth and learning from every stage of life. It is perfectly balanced by the anchor—a symbol of stability and commitment, ensuring that amidst ultimate freedom, we always have something secure to hold onto.

The Colors of Our Journey

If you look closely at our crest and our website design, you will notice three primary colors that carry the soul of our lifestyle:

Deep Ocean Navy: Representing the infinite depth of the sea, the blue-water cruising we are charting our course toward, and the stable, experienced captainship required to navigate a vessel safely across international waters.

Sunset Gold: A tribute to the warm, glowing horizons from where our journey first started on Tyne Cot. It evokes the sun-drenched beaches of interesting destinations, the promise of tomorrow, and the warm, inviting hospitality we offer on our deck.

Crisp Canvas White: Mirroring the clean lines of a sailboat's hull, the snap of full sails against the wind, and the bright sunlight reflecting off the open water. It brings a crisp balance to our home on the sea.

The brand we carry on our sails and our gear holds three distinct promises:
